I used to run SAMP on Linux. It wasn't always the best experience, meaning it included a lot of bugs, crashes, and even headaches. One normal thing you could do on windows typically broke the whole installation, like modding (depending how heavy the mods are) for example. The Deck does however run windows if you install it. Windows is completely free on the Deck (no license required) as the small screen fits under the "Windows To Go" licensing req's. You can put windows on either the internal storage, but I like SteamOS as it has better optimizations. You can install it on an SD card that has appropriate Read/Write speeds as outlined in this guide here. There are plenty of other guides for installing windows a google search away. Steam decks are also a pretty decent deal considering the power they packed into a small form factor. They play a lot of the new titles out of the box, and these titles can be made to run 100% smooth with a few tweaks, a lot of which other users share on ProtonDB.

Ended up getting the new OLED version which turned up today! i'll have to try it out  :D Thank you!

Looking to buy one specially for this purpose but can't find any topics on it and weather it is possible.

Hi guys can anyone help me out with this graphics bug?

only mods I use is the widescreen fix

when driving 'quickly' I have two boxes on the left and right of my screen which display weird artificing/stutters - I assume they are supposed to be the sun and moon?  :o

its as if when I drive past an object it transfers onto the squares?

Hey everyone - apologies if this isn't welcome here (feel free to delete if not)

I recently started making YouTube videos, started off as a bit of fun just short clips of my setup etc but I've been passionate about gaming/technology since I was a kid so thought why not give it a go at making a few videos.

Constantly learning and improving so I'll apologize in advance for the crappy quality on some bits!

My aim is to mostly target sim racing and tech reviews/unboxings but its all new so time will tell

I am using steam game then downgraded/installed SAMP

also have completely re installed everything twice.. happens quite often  :(

a daily/weekly/monthly (either one or all) login bonus

something to entice players to log in and complete at least one (or more) missions in turn for a reward

could be stackable?

example
log in and complete a mission on day 1 - receive 50k
log in and complete a mission the following week - receive 100k
log in and complete a mission on each week of the month - receive 500k

I see it as a small incentive to get players online and do a few missions, from my experiences it works on other games.

What actually was happening:
hacker online, using speed hacks on people, he got banned once, came back and did it again...

Allow a vote to kick system for when mods/admins are not online to deal with hackers

Must have 1000 score to use to reduce risk of abuse? Or possibly other rules alongside it such as 75% of online players must agree on the vote to kick?

Witness a genuine player be banned, multiple missions lost and frustrations because a hacker was online and no mods etc to deal with it - also nobody was able to complete missions in fear of being wasted by the hacker

I like this idea... Everything else has its own /w and this day in age it makes sense to migrate cop missions to that as well... One other thing in addition to this, however. Adjust the minimum police online for thief. One adjustment to where if there are no other thiefs active and no cops, you can become a thief without someone having to be a cop. However the police requirement stays if there's already a thief active and no police.

I think some (or 20) one slots could do with being removed. Lower the amount of resources needed (i know they're streamed but the fact remains. Not many icons, pickups or areas will need to be created).

The demand for one slots is none-existent but higher, is.

This is it, if you take one of the motels that's full of the unsold 1 slots and change them to a mix of 10/15/20 slots it helps both problems.

Agreed, it doesn't work for everyone.

Some players will want the bigger houses with exclusive parking, but without mapping in new areas that likely wont be an option.
However I do feel some players will be happy to simply have more vehicle slots regardless of the house/parking areas.

The topic of chat today has been high slot houses for the players who have been playing for years, many ideas bounced around however there's a rather simple one in my opinion.

Take an area such as the motel of Valle Ocultado, Tierra Robada or Rockshore East, Las Venturas and change the houses from 1 slot to 10/15/20 slots with a zero parking range.

It seems common players of these higher levels/experience are also invested in bases/clubs and would be happy to park elsewhere over their house. IE public parking or bases.
Obviously there will be players still wanting to wait out for the farms or houses with better looks or locations but most just want the slots!

Not only will this solution reduce the 30+ pages of 1/2 slot houses slightly it will potentially then free up some 4/5/6/8+ slot houses for the players such as myself who maybe don't have 50 million to spend on these houses.

In terms of cost I would suggest there needs to be a slight reduction as they wont be as desirable to some for reasons listed above. Maybe 10% less than the equivalent sized 'freestanding' house?

You allow the long term players more freedom, more slots = more cars = more club sharing which in turn could help new players with vehicles. Also works as a money sink and gives the drive to go out and earn more money again.
