Suggestion:
Make truckers able to do tasks with roadtrain, linerunner and tanker but without attaching a trailer. For example, /work
(poor task examples)
1: Deliver truck paper works from LV Freight Depot to San Fierro Wangs
2: Transfer truck from your truck base to San Fierro
3: Deliver money package from San Fierro to Whetstone
The reason for this is that convoy trucking is server about trucks, we all love the trucks, and driving bobcat or burrito is boring and you feel kinda lonely because you're practically driving a car, and everyone else around you is driving real trucks. In that case doing tasks with roadtrain, linerunner or petrol without using a trailer would be so interesting and players would feel more comfortable. This would be so good for newbies who are not skilled enough for managing trailers. Also, this is how truckers in America are working when they have no smaller vehicles to deliver something.

I've seen 10000 times a truck without trailer on road, going for a trailer or delivering something without trailer..
lots of trucks dont use a trailer but I havent seen one truck, (like big rig truck) without a trailer, traveling along the road. If I have seen one, no guarantee they are delivering anything, if something, then very small.

Just no. Trailer is the main part of the truck. Without trailer it's stupid as in game as in real life (what can you deliver by the truck itself? Maybe your passenger lol...). Don't take a bird's wings, it can't fly without them. :)
Plus there is flatbed, dft, duneride and big dumper you can work with and you don't need a trailer.

Thats a courier service (the only thing that can made, but no one will do it) is:
- Deliver RT from Wolford to Vice (just like tow, but it will be in perfect condition and ull drive it)
anything else doesnt happen not in game nor in rl
I know what he means but i don't really think it is a good idea.This server is for trucking ,we shouldn't have tasks that don't belong to truckers.In the big companies there are special hired people to drive around a truck from the point A to the point B (without a trailer). No from me :dislike:

It's already enabled. But you need the trailer to determine the job type (artic, dumper, fuel). Do you want to use linerunner and petrol too? Because I don't think you would be able to do 3 job types only with road train. I say: trailers are better. You just need to learn to drive with them and you'll see it's easy and fast. :)

we have a dedicated class for missions like that. why add vehicles to it that are completely out of place.

I don't think so, they are faster and smaller, made for short distances. Trucks are made for bigger missions with long distance. Trucks can flip also :))

That was one of the most disgusting replies I've received. What is so wrong with doing a task with the truck ? Why so many negative comments? This is samp my friends, from the very beginning of playing while picking the spawn point you are doing actually unrealistic thing, then choosing /work and choosing destinations, hitting in the lamposts, doing /fuel and /fix, and even chatting. All these things are done totally unrealistic and they are in function, but my suggestion is considered to be wrong and unrealistic. Why is it so difficult to accept one suggestion which will at least benefit. Just enable that god damned option /work so you can do it with roadtrain without attaching a trailer and that's it, no problems, happy truckers. Roadtrain is much better than burrito or flatbed, it's not flappable without trailer and it's very quick. This is trucking server, and frankly, visually and in every aspect it is nicer too see and more compfortable to do task with roadtrain than with burrito, flatbed, burrito or dft. Just accept it and there's nothing wrong, no damage to server will be made, nothing. Just one small shitty option /work and hit the pedal, nothing will be changed at bases nor roads. I dare everyone to drive a roadtrain around the San Andreas map without attached trailer, and you all will see how cool and precious that thing is. When you are bored of doing tasks with trailer, just take the roadtrain, you're still in truck, and go to work.
But no, let's ruin Jenis's suggestion, use shitty flatbed, the end.

All the other mission types the server has is somewhat realistic... but this is not, im sorry.. No one does small courier services with a huge road train, it hasnt got any place for storage?
