In addition to the new cargoes, DLC will include an extra bonus - special Heavy Duty customizable paint job, some variations of which you see here on the screenshots. We felt that such a paint job fits rather nicely to transportation of such types of cargo.

Can someone explain to me why should I buy this DLC instead of downloading some trailer mods which basically do the same thing for free? (apart from the paintjobs, I drive the truck not look at it)

I believe the dlc will work in mp, whereas the mods won't, I'll be buying :D
I don't think anything will go over 25 tonnes. That tractor is probably only 19 tonnes. That helicopter as few as a couple of tonnes.

It's ridiculous though, 7 new cargos and 1 paintjob, for €4,50 while free mods give you >100 new trailers and cargos, and you can just make the paintjob yourself..
You dont need to buy dlc but money gets invested into truck rent for example
Mind you that by buying those DLCs you fund and support SCS to make the games better.. Exactly with stuff like sound recording and also just the general game developing.. SCS aint Rockstar or EA who have money to spend on anything they ever want. They run on tight budget anyways to develope the next came.. ATS

Lightest load is 3 tonnes with the helicopter, and the heaviest load from the pack is 24 tonnes with the pipe.

I'm also using a transmission mod, the one I'm using right now for the lighter loads is called XXX Speed Racer, 22 gears, 14th-15th is 200km/h+, haven't gotten faster xD I then use a 22 speed rock crusher or 18 speed for the heavy 80t loads where I actually have to gear down to get up steep hills
