I just got ets 2. I just bought it off Amazon. I try to download the multiplayer but it says it can't find the steam. I don't have a clue what that means. Call me stupid but I can't figure out what to do. Please help me. TY. :-[:'(

You can correct me if I'm wrong but as long as I know: You have to buy the game from Steam to play multiplayer, had the same problem with Just Cause 2
Well that sucks if you have to buy the game off steam for it to work. I wish I would have known that before I bought it off Amazon. That really sucks. :'(:-[>:(>:D

If the game came with a CD key, try using that to activate it on Steam.

This, redeem the code on Steam and it should give you the Steam copy of the game.
Yes, activate ets2 on steam by using the code you got with your cd. Then download ets2 mp and play ;)
Where do i activate the code. I downloaded steam to my computer and still cannot figure it out. Everytime I go to download ETS 2 and tells me I have to pay for it again. Starting to get really frustrated.

Well ive downloaded the game on steam, Useing my cd code. I downloaded the multiplayer to the steam version, but when i start the multiplayer it said that it needs to have the original steam version. Any idea what i can do now.
Did you get the multiplayer from http://ets2mp.com after signing in through steam?

I uninstalled the entire game and the multiplayer I am going to reinstall the game from steam. And redownload the multiplayer and hopefully that will fix my problem if not I guess I am just done with this. On that sucks cause I wanted to play in multiplayer.

Well I guess I'm not playing multiplayer because I have to buy the game from steam for it to work on multiplayer that sucks. Whoever designed the way multiplayer works sucks. Because I'm not paying another 20 some dollars for a game just so that I can play multiplayer. Thats just stupid. :'(

Just in case anybody wants to know you have to downgrade your game to play on multiplayer I did not know that now I know its fixed and I'm now playing. ;D
