No delight me of teleportation system.

However, the system bus missions seems to be pretty cool, and closer to reality.
There are 2 types of work with coaches, "municipal", and with "long travel". I that TC uses the second type I believe. If changes to the way you suggested, got 3 achievements that way: over 1 'load'. Coach, Fuel and Trash.

It's good to have your feedback.

@Dobby, the /taxi system is an idea that i thought would be useful, it's not set in stone, and wasn't why i created the idea for bus missions in the first place :)

Instead of saying no no no, be constructive or don't bother!

Why break something that is already fine? -1
Also if you make a long text like this include a tl;dr at the end, I didn't even read half the stuff.

Actually, I had not thought of that. Until now there is no more than 1 destination in train.

If you mean to have a route system then yes it would be great, but I still would like to use the coach as well for the mission.

so you wanna suggest pretty much a teleportation system? im against this, just use /kill || /reclass || /rescue if you need to drive somewhere.

It honestly sounds like a glorified alt of /kill.

It's not about not liking the bus, it's about giving it a use of it's own.

Bus missions are fine as they are. If you don't like the bus, drive the Coach.

An Advantage would be where someone could abuse it to do missions faster, or escape cops in an easier fashion. With the anti-troll methods placed on it, it can't be abused.

The only thing gained is the ability to use less appreciated truck park locations and easier access to LV which is lacking in the teleport department, especially as a trucker.

the reward idea isn't to give people an "advantage" over driving it's to speed up people getting to certain destinations

Whats the difference?

Technically it is not an advantage since everyone can achieve it by gameplay... Just look at fuel achievement. You get cheaper fuel. Most of the achievements give an advantage (travellin' man), and if they don't they give you equipment for your own use. But the vehicle bus would need to have a new mission class created so it can be assigned different missions (depending on that difficulty it might be difficult :P (even though I don't know))

Yes Emmie, the reward idea isn't to give people an "advantage" over driving, it's to speed up people getting to certain destinations. I.e. Mostly, it will take you to the nearest of, rather than list all of them and teleport you to one of your choice.

It's important to have a reward that people will actually use and is worth having, otherwise only the elitists who want all achievements will do it.

The /taxi idea isn't set in stone there spekter, you can chop and change if you have any kind of constructive ideas on how to better it :)

It was just a brainfart while i was typing the main idea of the suggestion :)

Great idea. The reward would be a "teleport" to resemble a taxi ride that has been "skipped" like in GTA 4 and 5

I like the idea itself, but not the reward you came up with. I don't think that could be implemented well.
But anyway,  :like:  for the idea.  :ccmas:

Hi guys!

Welcome to my suggestion, this has been suggested before, however I feel it's worth another chance at suggesting it, giving points as to why it would be awesome, as well as a very useful reward that a lot of players could really appreciate and learn to love.

BUS DRIVER

In CT, when coach missions were created, it was probably too difficult or maybe impossible to script it, so a bus couldn't be driven the way we'd expect.

In real life, you get on a bus which will stop at point A-B-C-D-E-F-G. It goes along a route, until it turns back around, and keeps going.

On Ct, it acts like a coach, taking people to and from airports, bus's do this, but in a more public style, rather than just "Staff" for a whole company.

I believe that now you've managed to script Trash missions which has multiple set points, it could be possible to script a stand-alone mission for a bus, giving people a reason to use it, as most people dislike it's poor handling and slow speed. At least with the coach you get 150+  KPH and poor steering :P

It will also pave a way to people creating new and exciting bus mods, much like how Nyclo8 created a coach mod (Sorry if i spelt his name wrong) which is amazing and even i have used this mod!

What would be unlocked?

500k + /Taxi command, which gives you a list of destinations you can travel to for X amount of $$$$. Which CAN be used while you're a suspect, however NOT as a cop.

So it's not overpowered, when using /taxi there's a 5 minute cool down, as well as a 30 second wait while you "teleport" so you move from lets say, Whetstone to a landmark in LV, the Airport, you'll be stood still in Whetstone for 25 seconds, and the camera zoom out that's been created can be used, which will drag across the map, where you'll be shown at the 30 second mark (or there abouts :P) Not only does CT get to show off sexy camera moves, but also the player gets the feeling of moving and not just "popping" from one point to another, as well as not being able to "quickly" vanish from cops.

If a cop is in /n, then the /taxi will fail stating "The taxi driver has noticed you are wanted and has abandoned you", which also stops suspects abusing it to troll cops, and although they can use it, they'd have to use it wisely and only for emergencies.

The only locations you can land will be landmarks around the map, including LS (which has some horrible spawn points, if any at all especially for truckers) and will also allow people to park in the more remote areas, or closer to their house as they can use /taxi to arrive at their trucks (if you add truck park menu).

Example of a menu system for /taxi

Amounts are an example, it would depend on your location, more than the "speciality" of the dealership. The longer you travel the more it costs ranging from $1000-$5000

The missions are simple, they'd be around LS, LV, SF and anywhere bus stops are located.

This could, if the server could handle it, pave the way for Tram missions in SF, however it's debateable whether that'd be just a grind going round in circles all day, possibly causing crashes.

I hope to see bus missions! It'd be a nice addition!

Thanks for reading!
