Well yeah, /dst is good, but having to type it and get a chatbox that you have to close, all while midair, doesn't sound like a good idea.
What if scripters would do it, as if the player is inside an air vehicle, the /dst command returns a text-line (in chat) instead of dialog box? Again, just for air vehicles.
Also, players could type the /dst ab. or bind a key ;)

You can already see your height (height above sea-level and height above ground objects) by typing /display.

Distance to unload seems like a good idea imo

The rest though, it would make flying aircraft very in depth on a trucking themed server. I don't think they're that important
/dst command already tells you the distance between you and the checkpoint. Not very useful when driving as it only calculates distance in a straight line but it's useful whilst flying.

Also, admins don't approve suggestions, only scripters do.

Wasn't approving tbh was giving my opinion
That wasn't meant for you :P, it was in regards to this message:

I actually have more ideas but I'll keep them to myself for now until I see a scripter or some chief admin read what I posted and reply, whatever the answer is as long as it's fair.

Agreed, this would add another aspect of realism to the pilot job.

I suppose this is easy to do as well, as the truckers' pay is already calculated by using the distance between the loading and unloading checkpoints, I'm guessing.

Also, on a similar subject, how about height metering for aircraft? And if these sugg. get read by an admin, a pitch metering wouldn't hurt (degrees of rotation - nose up/down). These three (distance, rotation and height) would save a lot of aircraft damage and even deaths (not that they're a big inconvenience because they're not, but it's really annoying restarting and relocating another aircraft because of a single tree that appeared too late - objects draw a lot later when you're flying, sometimes you just don't have room to avoid it and yes, I know, fly higher, but it still happens. Thank you.

I actually have more ideas but I'll keep them to myself for now until I see a scripter or some chief admin read what I posted and reply, whatever the answer is as long as it's fair.

Additional operation parameter: distance to target.

In flight, the idea is to be able to know when to climb and when to come down from high altitude so you can land efficiently, thus reducing the flight time by a few seconds and providing a better sense of localization up in the air.
Also on land, it would ease the sense of uncertainty you get in the peripheral counties and their wonderful maze  :D
