I don't think its even possible, only way i can think of now is by using timers to check player speed every sec and setting it according to engine type, although it'll make server laggy.

Also choose a better name for suggestion "CT2k17" explains nothing

As much as I like new things to be added, I don't like this one. A fast truck is fast, a slow one is slow. No need to change that.  :dislike:

That would make convoys even harder to maintain with so many different trucks.

That has nothing to do, it depends on how the driver takes the convoy with his mates.

Definitely no. The prices should be increased a little bit, since it's a faster version than the normal one. Otherwise, nice idea there Rory!
Exactly as Martin says, the faster the more expensive the product is.

He's right. Each server uses different methods to calculate speed.

See this topic for a quick example.

I was curious to investigate and I was born this idea. (http://gta.wikia.com/wiki/Vehicle_Stats_in_GTA_San_Andreas)

Yes, that's the handling.ide file, you can find it in your GTA folder. But the server or SAMP uses its own one. As an example, you can locate the file and edit it yourself, set the max speed of Linerunner to 1.000km/h. It will reach that speed in SP but not in MP. Anyway, like I've mentioned above, even if this values can be changed within the server, I'm pretty sure you can't set multiple max speeds.

@DOC, the speedo is just a script, it's not exactly linked to the actual game files. Different scipts show different speeds. For example, in CT, the speedo indicates a speed of over 300km/h for the infernus. In PL, it indicates 250 if I remember right.

Maybe samp cars arent used on its full power. There was something about linerunner 120kph speed maybe we're missing something that admins/scripters know

I like the idea but one question, is it even possible? Speed of a vehicle is dictated by the handling.ide file. From what I know, either samp or the server itself has one.

Besides that, I highly doubt you can set multiple speed limits to a vehicle.

Do not you think it's time for trucks to go up, of course his price would be very high.

Linerunner Linx "Speed 85kph" - Price xxxxxxx
Linerunner "Speed 70Kph" - Price xxxxxx
Petrol Plus "Speed 102kph" - Price xxxxxx
Petrol "Speed 85kph" - Price xxxxxxx
Road Train Deluxe "Speed 150kph" Price xxxxxx
Road Train "Speed 124kph" Price xxxxxxx
Cement Truck Plus "Speed 115kph" price xxxxxx
Cement truck "Speed  102kph" price xxxxxxx
Trashmaster Maxxi "Speed 80kph" Price xxxxxxx " I thought I exaggerated a little xD
Trashmaster "Speed 65kph" price xxxxxxxx

Why this, because it touches to update with new things road works, already with the new city of Narwick is something fantastic, I know that will not be easy just as some will like it, others do not.

Pdta: Peaceful discussion, not silly fights.
